HEAR ME/SEE ME

HEAR ME…

I’ve been told that I have a great voice. (Of course, I’ve also been told that I have a great face for radio, whatever that means.) But anyway, take a listen to these short samples and judge for yourself.

…SEE ME

Between October 2023 and January 2024, I was featured in a series of video shorts produced by Amazing Things Media, a Nashville production company. The videos they produce dramatize moral lessons and behaviors. I encourage you to visit their YouTube channel. I appeared in eight of these shorts during this time. This one is my personal favorite.

A few years ago, I was invited to participate in a project to honor William Shakespeare’s birthday. Each participant was asked to record a video reciting a speech from one of the Bard’s works to be featured as part of a virtual program. I chose the Prologue from “Henry V” and I recorded this on Zoom, using a green screen to project the background that you see. Enjoy!

Being a huge fan of “Star Trek”, I was absolutely thrilled to be cast in a fan film based on the franchise. This is the first of what will be three installments of this story, shot in the style of a documentary. For a fan film, the production values are outstanding.

This next video was recorded from a live theatre performance. (Don’t worry: it was recorded by our stage manager during opening night.) The play is August Wilson’s “The Piano Lesson”. I’m playing the character of Wining Boy, an old Jazz musician who is well past his prime but still considers himself the consummate entertainer he was in his heyday. There was a tense family discussion just prior to this scene, and Wining Boy tries to break the tension in the best way he knows how.
